Greg and Ruth Gottig started Feather Flickers in early 2008 after deciding there was a gap in the market for a good value for money service offering a personal and individual service that didn't require customers to sign a contract.

Greg has previously owned and managed hotels for the past 20 years and sold out in 2008. His primary focus was always very much on the standards and housekeeping of the bedrooms and public areas and during the time the hotel was part of the sales and marketing consortium Best Western, the property always scored very highly in their twice yearly assessments.

He is also a trained accountant and practising member of the Institute of Financial Accountants and Fellow of the Federation of Tax Advisers. He is also a past chairman and board member of Sefton Chamber of Commerce Ltd; and past board member of Sefton Education Business Partnership Ltd. He is also a member of the British Institute of Cleaning Science and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.

Ruth has also worked in hotels and held positions in the housekeeping department as Housekeeping manager where she managed a team of staff who assisted her in maintaining the cleanliness of bedrooms and public areas. She is obsessed with cleaning and is often accused of 'cleaning the clean'! The name of the business Feather Flickers has always attracted attention and customers and staff alike ask who thought of this - well done Ruth!

Gaynor has several years experience in the sales, marketing and retail fields and assists in promoting the Feather Flickers brand across it's target markets on a day to day basis throughout the Southport, Ormskirk, Preston, Liverpool, Wigan and West Lancashire areas.

Her main role in promoting the business is to raise awareness, give added value to customers and inform them of the many services that the company offers. She also spends much of her time attracting additional business and generating new leads from prospective customers.

Gaynor's main activities include e-mail broadcast communications, direct mail, telemarketing, advertising, PR, sales, attending business networking events and working with Feather Flickers nominated charity to raise monies for needy causes alongwith ensuring customer excellence at all times.

Feather Flickers offers a broad base of cleaning services to both domestic and commercial clients. These services include regular, one-off, communal area, end of tenancy, builder and after party cleaning along with an ironing and carpet, rug and upholstery service.

We believe price to be one of the competitive advantages as our nearest rivals following a recent study were on average 27% more expensive.

Our main asset is our staff who do a fabulous job each day in helping us look after the few hundred clients that we clean for, whom without,all would not be possible.
